Location of Newfoundland, NJ
The female lead says she used to live on Princeton. So why do they keep saying she came down here, to Newfoundland, when Newfoundland is in the extreme north of New Jersey?

shareThough often used this way, "Down" doesn't universally mean "South". Not sure about the folks of NJ, but in the UK some people talk about going "up to town", even when it's in a Southerly direction. Maybe Olivia was using "down" in the sense of "away from town". As a point of interest, Princeton's only about 30 miles South of Newfoundland, NJ.
