Im thinking he had the same kind of Lung Cancer that Killed Andy Kauffman.Andy never smoked. Its extremely rare, but it is possible.

Smoking is NOT "the most common cause of lung cancer". Lung cancer is caused as much by congenital(inherited) defects as by inhalition of substances. Science has ONLY "proven" that cigarette smoking "can lead" to lung cancer. Not directly cause it.

People just love to get caught up in the cultural panic of the moment, which smoking is now. Millions of smokers NEVER suffer any kind of disease from smoking. And many, many lung cancer patients NEVER smoked.

Don't buy into the hysteria.

You sound like a two-pack a day man. Usually only heavy smokers and tobacco execs are that rabid about defending those cancer sticks.

For instance, you might have lived or went to school in one of those old buildings that had asbestos sprayed onto the ceilings to deaden sound. That stuff flakes off as it ages and floats in the air.

I read of a woman who came down with asbestos related lung cancer because she washed all her husband's work clothes each week for years. He would come home from the factory with asbestos all over his clothes from the product he worked on. She did not smoke tobacco.
