Auntie Voula--

This lady is awesome! With Michael Constantine, and Nia Vardakos--HOW can people be so cruel?
Ok--The movie was SO good--but, Let's give this show a chance-
It is a fresh, delightful look at a culture that is so rich, and clean--And, for an Italian--(me), I can really Understand this Greek-thing!

There are great Greeks and Italians out there who can add to this Nice, new fresh and respectful look at ethnicity in TV--So, Let's be a bit more Kind?

What are those cruel Critics looking for in prime-time Shows, anyway?
At least they show "respect" for Mom(Kazan)and Pop(Michael Constantine)--who ae great!!

Now with Veteran Rita Moreno--who I have been in Love with since "The Ring"-- a movie about a Prize fighter--This show has promise--

I love it. And, let't not get too "snobby" or "intellectual"--OK?

Yassou, Nia!!

She is my favourite actress next to Irma P. Hall. She has such vocal and acting talent! Just hilarious to watch. Abxolutely underrated. Anybody remember Mrs. Falbo's Tiny Town? Edith Prickley? I'm a total SCTV girl. Then again...I'm a Cannuck!:p

reply

Yes; I remember the SCTV group, Canadians working out of Chicago back in the
late '70s. Awesome talent-
Thanks for the neat commentary on Auntie Voula-
Stay in touch-Love to hear nice commentaries about movies and actors/actresses.

Question: Since you are in Canada, can you help me find "RCMP" a Canadian TV show from 1959, with Gilles Pelletier and Don Francks?

Also, a Canadian show with two American actors, Paul Birch and William Campbell, entitled "Cannonball-" about over-the-road truckers, and their simple, down-to-earth exploits from a more innocent time--1959, also.

And, then there is a darn good "Completely Canadian" movie entitled,
"The Heat Wave Lasted Four Days" filmed in Montreal, about 1975, with Lawrence Dane, a great actor from Canada.

Please let me know-

I saw "Aunt Voula" in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway about a year ago - she was really good.

reply

No Nia Vardakos anywhere in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".

Maybe you are talking about Nia Vardalos.
