Did anyone else think...

After the second time Bruce Willis talked to the head bad guy on the white phone, I definitely thought it was Kevin Pollack doing a slightly different voice. Then I started thinking we hadn't seen Pollack's character on-screen while Willis talked to the antagonist. I was expecting to learn that Pollack was pulling a Kaiser Soze all the way till the scene way near the end when he talks to the bad guy in the back of the ambulance and puts Pollack on the phone.
