Ending...

I live in the US and probably will have a VERY hard time getting a hold of this one...I have heard the basic plot, and now I'm dying to know what happens. Can anyone fill me in, please? I'm begging...details on Jonathan Rhys-Meyers's character would be especially appreciated. Thanks!

-This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon.
-I know.
-What do we do?
-Enjoy it.

***Spoilers***

It ends with rhys-meyers, almost being excuted. The Royal couple adopts Sabah's baby, while she went back to the Cold province. The chamberlain is dismissed from the castle. He searches for Sabah in the cold province, finds her and finally begins to act human. He can finally act on his love for Sabah.

Rhys meyers acting was superb; in the guidelines of the screenplay, anyways. The dialogue seems a little contrived, I couldn't tell if it was either a bad screenplay or bad voice acting, but the majority of his skill as an actor was conveying his pain through his eyes. you could tell that his love for sabah and living within the laws that he protects is destroying him.

my favorite part of the movie is when Sabah sees themby for the last time, she doesn't regret him leaving forever. She puts her hand on his(rhys-meyers) shoulder and he holds her hand. Probably the most intimate scene in all of the movie.

um...well that'sgoign to be hard, as it will probably spoil it for everyone else. but hey, if it's in australia, it's gotta be in the US right? i found it in australia ^^

well ok, i can give u a run up of jrm's character, but it won't be very good, because i don't remeber half of it. bascially he's a guy who's always followed the law, and who's served it all his life ("married to the Emperor"). but with the appearance of Sabah in his life, he realises that he's completely lost faith in the law. here's a nice quote:
Sabah: "the law has made you mad"
Chamberlain: "no. the law is what keeps me sane."

too deep, i'm too sleepy to analyse it, or just cbb. you can interpret it youself ;)

hope that helped. but one thing is for sure....JRM is "hot hot hot"!! (ok sorry i had to add in a lame pun/intertextual reference...)
