After you stop working for Nook you have to pay off your debt some how. Well here's a list.
1.Archeology... Dig up fossils and sell them to Nook.
2.Bug Catching... Like chasing butterflys? If you do then this is the job for you.
3.Fishing... Like a real fisherman catch fish then sell them to Nook.
4.Gardening... Get all sorts of fruit from distant towns and sell the fruits to Nook.
Tell me which ones worked best for you.
All of them worked for me, except fishing. God, I couldn't fish, I was the worst fisherman ever... But I was able to catch most of the insects (two or three were missing to complete my collection), all of the fossiles and all of the fruits.
And, by the way, Animal Crossing is the best game ever.
I SAW THE BIGGEST FISH EVER TONIGHT! It was its shadow but I hit "b" and Cora ran!:(

Three years ago, when I first started playing (and had never gone fishing before), a neighbor (Friga) asked me to get her a fish. WELL! I saw a fish in the ocean and got it... and it was a coelacanth! Since I had no knowledge of fish, I gave the fish to Friga. That was probably my stupidest moment in AC ever!
