Deleted/Trimmed Scenes in episodes?

Okay, just recently i decided to watch Azumanga Daioh(subbed version) again. Go through it again since i had fond memories of the show. I had not seen the show for a good while(since 2005) Anyway, something left me rather confused...

Going back to it, there was one part in one episode where Tomo goes to the vending machine to get a milk tea, but it messes up on her. Then Yomi comes in and then it works for her and also releases the cup that failed to release for Tomo. Anyway, i remembered there being much more to this scene than what i saw this time. It felt like i watched some strange cut down version. The version i remember had Sakaki present and this black baseball player(not joking) who, after Tomo throws a fit and sees Yomi's worked after hers failed, stands behind her telling her quietly that this is really a prank and she will get her milk tea. She reacts like "Oh, okay, i get you now" But she finds out quickly that he tricked her and turns back at him angry and says something along the lines of "Hey! You tricked me!" and it cuts to him with his hands behind his back with a weird large sized head and a big grin bearing an odd resemblance to the Cleveland Indians logo as he lets out a small giggle. Then she begins to throw a tantrum. I also distinctly remember Tomo smacking the milk tea out of Yomi's hand before her tantrum gets worse. I can even see it in my head, with the weird smacking noise as chibi Tomo smacks it out and the cup falling on the floor and the tea spilling with Yomi's "N-Nani?!". Tomo is then on the floor going "WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?!!!" At this point, there was a moment where Sakaki did her best(which, in the case of most people, half-assed) attempt at getting her to stop. I think the dialogue went something like this:

Tomo: WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY...

Sakaki: Tomo, calm down.

Tomo does not listen, still continues to shout "WHY"

Sakaki: Forget it...(walks off)

Normally a scene like this would not make me laugh, but it did. It was very much its presentation and comedic timing that sold it for me. I think much of it had to do with how forced and un-willing she came off since she has a constant "**** this" look on her face and a monotone voice. I know her well enough to know she did not mean it in this manner. Just it came off that way.

Anyway. As i mentioned before, after re-watching, those parts were not in here. Every time i go to look it up i never see it. I even tried looking it up and never saw anything on it. Anyone else know of this apparently alternative version? Like, what happened to it, what version it's in, and why some seem to have it why most don't?

On a semi-related note, i haven't gotten too far in to the show, but i remember one episode having Osaka tell her teacher something about poop and dragging it on so long her teacher absolutely freaked the hell out. I remember laughing at this real hard, especially the faces Osaka made and the teacher's freakish reaction.
