Almost turned it off 30 mins. in....should've done it.

This movie was a pure waste of time. It seems like it was trying to be like Dead Alive or something but it had no real comedy or horror. At first I thought it was just having a quirky start but then when the background music started playing I knew it was gonna be a joke. The zombies looked kinda cool, they had some potential there but the zombies where in it for such a short time. Very disappointing film, if you love zombie movies or zombie spoofs don't bother with this one.

It's sacrilige to compare this turd to Shaun of the Dead. Shaun was actually FUNNY and SCARY. Undead wasn't even the kind of movie that was so stupid it's funny...it was just stupid.

Well considering what the film makers had to work with I would say they did an extraordinary job. Shaun of the Dead had a comparitively huge budget and like it or not you can do more with a bigger budget. Don't get me wrong, I love Shaun of the Dead, but this movie is up there as well. My two favorite scenes would have to be the trout scene, and when the sherrif is just absolutely wigging out when they are hiding. It's hilarious. To each his own though and to the other posters who replied to you, pay them no mind. If they cannot back up their views on the film then that is their own problem.

Cool, I totally respect your opinion. Thanks for actually posting one instead of just throwing out random insults lol. You are completely right about it just being a matter of taste and such with this movie. There were a few things I did like, just as a whole didn't care for the movie.

I completely agree. The music sounded like something from the wizard of oz.

reply

Have you retards ever thought about that the music was the way it was to make the movie more cheesy and comical?

The Boogeyman is real... and you've found him!

reply

wow, calling someone a retard over a stupid zombie movie that sucked..you're my hero. At any rate the cheesy/comical music didn't do it's job, it was just annoying.

The movie had potential to be a good zombie comedy it tried although the gory parts were humorous and most of it cheesy it didn't reach the point where it was good it was passable in my opinion.

"Have you retards ever thought about that the music was the way it was to make the movie more cheesy and comical? "

What? They tried to make the film bad on purpose? You're delusional.

The apologists who say "you can't expect them to make a great film on their budget" should take a look at Bad Taste, Evil Dead Etc.

I tried to like this film, I really did, as I respect low budget film-making. But it failed as horror comedy as it wasn't funny enough to be a comedy not did it have many scares to make it a decent horror.

The wishy-washy score was the worst element and sent me to sleep a couple of times.
The pacing was slow, slow, slow. I was surprised to find out it was only 97mins, it felt like at least 150mins. They really need to learn how to pace a film.

I totally agree it sucked, big time. I don't know what the hell it was trying to accomplish but it didn't. It was the first zombie flick I've actually wanted to see end, and that's saying alot. I've seen a lot of baaaddd zombie movies. It was trying to be funny and it just wasn't, it was trying to be scary and it just wasn't. I am now going to pretend that I didn't spend an hour and forty minutes of my life watching it. Hell, like you said most of time the zombies weren't even on screen. This steaming pile doesn't even come close to Return of the Living Dead or ( even though I'm not a fan of it) Shaun of the Dead.

reply

Yep, this movie SUCKS! Way stupid plot and it rips off "Night of the Living Dead" too.

I agree. The only good thing about this movie were the zombies but the sounds that came out of them were ridiculous

reply

well okay they sounded funny but how the hell are zombies suppose to sound?

I couldnt wait for this movie to end. To me it was just a complete mess. I did like the first 1/3 of the movie, but when they came to that wall it just began to go down hill from there. I really tried to enjoy this movie, but it just wasnt my taste. I did like the gore and sfx though.

JUMPING ZOMBIE FISH! *beep* ya'll! That was the funniest damn zombie moment I can think of... and, it's not like this movie tried to be funny with the exception of a few quirky jokes... it's a damn good zombie movie a a whole... easily one of the best I can recal in the last 5 years...

I'll swallow your soul!

I second the wall notion. Up until that point, I thought I was watching, you know, a zombie movie. I don't know what it turned into after that.

The music at the beginning was annoying like hell to me too I understand the budget was low but the characters are useless all but the old farmer dude it had originality I'll give it that but some parts were just ridiculous and pathetic especially the acting of the 2D characters surrounding the old dude. It was truly annoying looking at the 2 trainee cops especially the one swearing all the time. The production may have been good and the brothers must have meant well but this was not my slice of pie; waste of time, but interesting to see what can be done with small budget. Perhaps this movie is interesting to aspiring film makers who should learn from its drawbacks. 7 months spent on digital fx that is impressive, yes.
