Since shaun of the dead Have'nt i seen such a funny horror-comedy film.

I liked it when the hill billy was attacked by a zombie fish. Thought it was hilarious, never saw a thing like that before. I saw a zombie attacking a shark (zombie 2) but never a zombie fish.

I also liked the police officer, never quite understood everything he was yelling histerically along the movie, but what i did understand was freaking hilarious "we'll be finished faster than a cake in a fat girls birthday party ".
"no one is dying today! not on my watch!" this actor is brilliant!

Happy to see that zombie movies in Oceania have'nt ended with "Braindead".

Technically Shaun of the Dead came out after this but yeah, it's a good film.

Slither was a great horror-comedy, not as funny (or even really gory) as Shaun of the Dead, but it had Nathan Fillion

reply

Did you watch the special features for Slither? "I'm Bill Pardy....."

Laugh a minute sh!t.

Zombieland is pretty decent. the plot is not as good and there aren't enough zombies, but it has some good laughs.

Zombieland is more about human life and relationships during a zombie breakout than the actual Zombies and survival, sometimes you need the right context for a film before you watch it to avoid disappointment or misguided expectations.

If you can suspend your belief and expectations, you'll enjoy more films than you do now.

The movie was called `Zombieland`, and the many advertisements featured lots of zombies getting killed. When compared to the actual film, there was lots of filler and moments of driving around than there was what was advertised.

Lots of movies do this, they fear audience won`t like the film unless they market it as something else.

reply

Welcome to the world of marketing. Most films now have trailers that are nothing like the film they promote. Thanks Boards of directors, not movie directors for that.
Also you're on the internet, on IMDB, nothing to stop people from researching themselves before seeing a film as to what to expect.

If you can suspend your belief and expectations, you'll enjoy more films than you do now.

This movie is BRILLIANT...the comedy works for the most part...not all flicks can pull a succesful horror/comedy hybrid.

Rewatching it again yesterday, I'd say the movie might work better WITHOUT the humor! Still, good stuff!
