1 mill Australian? Doesn't sound like a huge budget. The special FX work on this flick and the movie, in general, is very well done! i didn't realize these same guys were responsible for Daybreakers, so I'll be checking that out for sure now.

It was $1m after the deferred payments from sale of the film came through, I think it was actually shot for around $70-90k.
shareMaybe, but if they had an audit and the truth, it would clock in at a much higher budget. They indicate so in the clips that a lot of time was spent that wasn't a directly outlay. And, yes, you have to include your laptops processing FX as industry standard rate, otherwise you are skewing the facts and the accounting norms.
