This would have made a fantastic show....

The characters were interesting, Navi Rawat was perfect for the lead role and there were many interesting storylines that could have been developed were this to become a tv show.

No argument from here,I just saw it on USA my roommate asked me it it was
a new series and I said, "yes" Well I thought it was....Now I want that DVD or VHS I don't care.I want that movie, I gotta have it.....

reply

I saw this show by accident. Thought it was a series and couldnt wait till the next week. Just found out it was a movie!!! Gotta have it!
I want more!

reply

Yes, scifi movies like Thought Crimes and Darklight would make great shows. Better than the ones they come up with these days. Like Tracker which was dumb.

reply

True. The shows that are on are completely rediculous. All these reality shows gotta go. I dunno about everyone else but I watch TV to escape reality and just relax. My dad and I watched Thought Crimes and we were so impressed but we too thought it was a pilot for a new series. I wrote to USA to suggest it. If you guys haven't try [email protected]

If you are in Europe www.imdb.com says you can buy it on Amazon for Region 2 DVD players. Here in America we can't play it on DVD here.

reply

Yeah I found that out. I live in the US so that sucks. I actually thought about buying a region free DVD player just so I could buy the DVD. I recorded it off the TV but it only plays on one of my DVD players

reply

Hi There!!! I don't suppose you know when it might be coming on again in the U.S.!!! I live in the U.S. too and I would absolutely love to see 'Thoughtcrimes', but I missed all the other showings because I didn't know about them! I'll jump for joy if you can help me out here! Thanks!!!

I have to agree. I've seen this film three times on DVD after accidently coming across it and then buying and I would have loved to seen more of these characters and storylines. Joe and Navi were excellent in their roles and had so much chemistry and worked so well together. They already had it set up as a superb series and it's a shame they didn't expand on it with

I agree, I would have enjoyed a TV show of this film far more than I expect I would Firefly (Serenity convinced me that Joss Whedon is the new Chris Carter).

I was thinking the same thing after watching it for like the 7th time about 2 hours ago. I mean the entire movie is like one big Pilot and you get the vibe that there should be more. This film has theatrical value but it still really does posses the TV movie vibe. It’s a really good film and I guess it left me wanting more, hence me thinking it would make an equally good TV series. Navi Rawat is so beautiful and talented; she fits the role so naturally. As for Joe Flanigan, I think he’s great; I love him in Stargate Atlantis. Thoughtcrimes just has so much TV series potential and I just can imagine how each week she works on some brand new case. Perhaps there could have been an arc that involves her sister being in danger and she has to rescue her. They would have had another arc where perhaps their father isn’t actually dead but being held against his will or something. So many directions it could take…

I love Film and TV show much!

A very good movie with excellent performances from navi rawat and the always impressive peter horton.

I just saw this movie on TV in Australia - i dont know how i missed it on DVD, but i agree wholeheartedly - it would make an EXCELLENT TV series. Navi was perfect for the role she played (very well too i might add), but its a shame a series will probably never see the light. :(

This as a tv series would be awesome, but I'm glad they didn't do that. Don't get me wrong, I'd have watched and all, but if it *had* become a tv show, Mr. Flanigan would have had to be in it (you know it would have sucked with anyone else in that role besides him) and he couldn't be in Stargate: Atlantis, which rocks my world, lol.

I'm a big fan of 'everything happens fo a reason' when it comes to my entertainment and the shows that get picked up/canceled/never made.

Somebody start a petition, the TV industry desperately needs our advice!

reply

LOL thats the last thing they need another petition/strike ;)

reply

Yeah, the last thing the industry needs is listening to the few people who actually want to watch anything other than mindnumbing pulp. Instead, they listen to the mindless masses out there, which is much more profitable. Too bad.
