He plays one of the boys.
You'll notice him under the movie, he don't have a big role, but neither a small one..

You will have to admitt he is instatly recognisable as the boi in NOTES ON A SCANDAL, as soon as he speaks.

He's the elder of the two brothers who are whipped on Christmas Day (more impact than fifteen minutes of similar in 'The Last Temptation of Christ'). His character, the elder Peters, is presented as one of the thickest and most criminal of the boys, and has to be persuaded to learn to read and write reluctantly by being shown the criminal advantages therein; he then survives a brutal haircut as well as the flogging which starts Liam Mercier's protest against Brother John's regime that leads to Liam being singled out by the sadist.
There was a scene shot but cut where Peters opens the present he has received from his near silent and inadequate-seeming father, whom the boys have met over a cup of tea. It's a pullover, very disappointing.
Not a bad role, crucial in its own way. Michael Sloan who was only 9 in shooting plays his wee brother. Andrew is a Catholic from Derry/Donegal whereas Michael is a Protestant from the Shankill road in Belfast, but he still had to learn to genuflect and say his catechism like all the boys!

Patrick is an agent, casting director, producer and actor with his own company in Northern Ireland.
