Yeah, you should've watched the rest of it. The first few minutes...I think 10-15...somewhere in there and probably less, is just a basic background for the story. I was thinking the same thing, but I forced myself through that part of it, and found it was actually a pretty good movie.

It entirely depends on what you thought you were going to see. I just sent in a review in which I expressed my discontent with the fact that this movie was advertized as a Tarantino/Knoxville movie. However, it has nothing to do with 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Jackass'. It is a touching comedy; drama brought in a funny way. Neither a tear-jerker nor a hilarious spoof. The real theme is the growing pains of a fourteen year old girl, trying to find her place in a grown-up world. It is brought in a pleasant, light hearted way without ever becoming childish. I'm sure that it will attract anybody who his willing to let the movie take its time to tell the story.

I'm quite pleased I saw it.

I took your advice and watched it, it was very good! thanks! Knoxville had a very caring character in that movie

it actually took me two times to watch this. i went to on demand and saw this movie i'd never heard of, but saw johnny knoxville was in it, so i watched the first 2 minutes of it then went to something else. i just now decided to watch it again and i liked it as much as i could like any knoxville movie besides jackass.

You fell outta the sky, I ain't listenin to nothin' you say!

reply

I liked it regardless of Knoxville's reputation from Jackass!

This movie has nothing to do with Jackass. It's a thoughtful light comedy with quirk and heart, and Knoxville showed that he can fit into a movie like that very well.
