This movie made me think of the song

The Promise by Arcadia. Why?


1. They have similar titles. The Promise and The Promise Kept. But that's just a little similarity.

2. There is a line in the movie where the vigilante killer says something about how God cries when he sees all this abuse, something like that. The chorus of The Promise is "Heaven hide your eyes, Heaven's eyes will never dry".

3. In the music video for The Promise, it shows the singer in a dark room while images of pain and suffering flash before him. Made me think of this movie once again.


Not that I think the movie was based on the song, that seems very unlikely. It just made me think of it.
