Funny Games is also movie that is kind of similar to this one. it was more intense in my opinion, though. it's an Austrian movie.

An Australian film called 'The Interview' is very close to this one, though it focusses, as you might guess, more on the police interview. I think the writers of Killing Words must have seen it.

Another one, and if you liked The Interview as well, then you would most definitely like Una Pura Formalite (A Pure Formality). Its basically the same story, but with a few more dynamics, less claustrophobic, and slightly more cinematic. It stars Roman Polanski and Gerard Depardieu (but Polanski didnt direct it)

rivethead808, Une Pure Formalite is a great film, but takes things along a different track at the end (to say more is to ruin it for others). One of my personal favourites.

So which one did you like better may I ask? I would assume The Interview since you mentioned that one first. Ive wanted to create a thread just to see what people think about both, but I dont think many people have seen both so I never bothered. Me, I cant really say until I see A Pure Formality again. Ive only seen that one once whereas I own The Interview so Ive seen that 3-4 times.

Sorry to take so long it replying. I don't check the message boards much.

I actually liked Une Pure Formalite more than The Interview, but The Interview is closer to 'Killing Words' in terms of plot. The big revelation at the end of 'Formalite' actually makes it more akin to 'The Sixth Sense', at least, the way I understood it. (I also liked 'Formalite' much more than The Sixth Sense).
