Anyone else in this film?

Hey all,

I was curious, are there any other people involved in "Mr. 3000" that regularly read this board? I, myself, am one of the hired background talent, for quite a few days on-set (15+). I'd certainly love to share experiences working on this film. Feel free to introduce yourself, and maybe we can start yet another intruiging thread on this board!

Of course, you are also welcome to visit my weblog, on my own site. I keep journal entries (spoiler-free) of my days on set. You might find it interesting to read some of my experiences working in front of the camera....

Megan,

I'd love to hang out with you at the park!... even to meet a fellow actor as well!

If you're interested, and since I don't know how I would look for you any days you are on-set... You can find me, anytime we extras are in the holding area, in that room where we've checked out at the end of every night. You know where the ramps up and down are in that holding area? I usually always try to grab a chair and sit right there in that cubby area by the railing and door (door says starwell 14).

I've got glasses, and more often than not, a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up. :)

Feel free to stop by and say hi, even if there may be other friends of mine there. Don't worry, I don't bite. I'm often somewhat shy too, so, don't worry about that either. ...[chuckle].

Hopefully I may get the chance to say hi. I'll be at the park as an extra all during the last week of July yet. :)

Hope to see ya there!

-Jon

Hey, I helped out with production when it was still in New Orleans. How long are they suppose to be shooting for in Mil.?

Yes, I was a paid extra in the film. I was there for 6 nights/mornings and also 2 fan days. I had a great time and met a bunch of fun people. I'm sad that the filming is over since I had so much fun. I took pretty many pictures, especially of the crowd and the "flat people" (LOL). I was disappointed that on the last night, Bernie didn't come out and sign more autographs, just a few. There were less people and less pressure of filming on the last night so it would have been a great opportunity. I thought the food was pretty good and the production staff did a great job, especially kicking out the people that caused trouble during the filming. I'm pretty sure I'll be in one scene by the dugout, but then again I might just be a blur.

I'll be featuring a special for our local access cable show about being an extra for a movie. I'm hoping to have about 20 people that were there to share their experiences. I also took a few pictures of the celebrity look-a-likes that were in the crowd, everyone knew the Tony Danza look-a-like. He was pretty good with the crowd.

Laurie,

If you're still in need of people that were involved with the filming for your program on your local cable-access show, I might be interested, assuming it's not too far away. :)

Drop me a note if interested. (email address is on the bottom of any page on my website.)

Have a blessed day! :)

The Chris Farley look-a-like has a scary resemblance to the late comic. It's cool that you're expanding on your experience there and if you need people I'm here. I played "Event Security" -- red shirt, most of the time I was there and I'd be happy to share my stories with you. I basically talked with the actors and film crew much of the time about nothing in particular.
