US Release?

I've been interested in this movie for some time now, and i've heard that it doesnt have subtitles or anything. The plot sounds really good, and the trailer was really intriguing, and i was just wondering if a subtitled/dubbed version would hit the US anytime soon? Or at all? Thanks ahead of time. Any information is helpful.

The DVD does come with English subtitles but the film's not really worth watching at all. I would fall over backwards if the film got any kind of release in the States. It didn't even break even here in Denmark. The film doesn't break any new ground, and the actions of the characters don't make any sense, they only serve the clichéd plot. If you want to see a decent Danish thriller, find yourself a copy of "Nattevagten" (it was remade with Nick Nolte called "Nightwatch" but that version wasn't nearly as good).

Wasn't this movie one of the biggest Danish movies of 2003? Or have I missed something?

I beg to differ.. Box office-wise it actually did quite well, and the rights for remake was bought last year by an American production company.

- You know who we got here?! *beep* Charlie Bronson!!

Wow, so this may even get remade? That'd be interesting. I've also seen the Trailer for Strandvaskaren, and i found it rather creepy, honestly. But i recently read a review for the film on Slasherpool.com which said the film wasn't all that great. It'd be nice to see Midsommer get remade as an American Film, but as trancedanne said, Hollywood buys the rights to a lot of films, that never end up getting remade.

Does anyone know where you can get the DVD? I can't find it anywhere...not even on ebay!

Don´t watch this movie, its utterly rubbish and boring. I am not a fan of hollywood remaking foreign movies, but i really hope they do it with this one. It can only improve.

I think this movie is very good.. sorry but I do..!

It sucks, I can't even understand why this movie is under the horror-category.
