Not Warwick's Fault.

I agree the first Leprechaun film was the best. I personally liked them all but others have different opinions. Sequels can suck at times but Leprechaun 6 isn't even out yet, so don't judge it before you even see it. And it isn't Warwick's fault the sequels began to sink a bit, That's just how they were written. So blame the writers. Warwick just did not want to see the leprechaun being played by someone else. I mean honestly, who could play a better leprechaun? Once you are a horror-legend, no one could play the part as good. I wouldn't want to see someone else play Freddy in a Nightmare On Elm Street sequel! I said what I wanted to and That's all. I look forward to seeing this movie. Also it would be cool to see a sequel to Willow!

Im sorry pippin but youre a dumbass. If you ever saw Leprechaun 5 IN THE HOOD, then you would know what I was talking about. Never in any point in time was this ever supposed to be a serious movie, especially when he dances and raps like a gangsta thug at the end. With the title Leprechaun 6 BACK IN THE HOOD, it is given that this movie will suck no matter what.

I'm sorry for you Bin. Give Warwick a chance before you say a movie he is in will suck. the last one was not as good as part one, none of them are, but it had its moments, and even if it was a bit corny i watched it anyway- without automaticly thinking it will be bad like you-, It was supposed to he corny, Because of the added in comedy bits of the previous films, the lep lost horror after part 2. and what, you think i "take this film seriously"? yeah, sure, i like there is actually a little fking leprechaun running around killing people, yep its true, THE LEPRECHAUN FILMS WERE BASED ON TRUE EVENTS!!!! ...right. Everyone has their own opinion, Bin, Take time to actually watch the film you post about before giving it a bad judgement. I recently saw this film, and let me tell you it was actually pretty good. sure, like i said, it lost its horror in part 2, but its still a fun time with the lep with his comedy and constantly looking for weed and bongs now, and even the mocking scene of E.T. This one is probably my 3rd favorite, so worth watching before you start bad mouthing it.

I will admit it & say that I have all 5 LEPRECHAUN's in my collection. The 1st 3 are pretty decent, 4 was bad but 5 was awful. I just hope part 6 is at least somewhat better than part 5.

reply

I agree with you moviecollector. the first two lep movies are the best, part 3 will give me something to watch if im bored, and part four and five just are annoying. but as every good horror series, theres always a few bad ones. like nightmare on elm street, after part one they all sunk into the dirt, but Robert still took on the role of Freddy. Warwick just knows the lep is his character and the movies would be even more annoying if played by another short actor. no one else could be the leprechaun as good as him, or make a little green guy riding on a tricycle look funny.

as for nightmare on elm street. pt's 1 an 3 an 7 was ok but it really didn't making a damm sense.an as for this series bitch please i saw all of them cept for 2 of the. the one in vegas an i can't remember which one that one was i saw most of it but my rents had to take it back an that's when it came on video a few years ago. pt 1 was ok. pt. 2 was alirght pt 4 suxed an i've only seen bits an pieces of pt 5. but when will this series end??? a LOT of times movies in series is so bad that they are forced to put it on video. an i maybe wrong on that part but a lot of times it does feel like that's what happens an i do judge movies before i see them but i i still watch them anwys i told one of my frieds back in 2001 that THE MEXICAN was gnna FLOP like a fish in the sea an i was right it was one of the most dumbest, retardest movies i've ever seen in my life!
as so was texas chainsaw pt. 4. one kicked ass so did 2. infact i prefer 2. i didn't see 3 though. an as for the friday the 13th series all of them up till pt 4 were good 5 suxed. 6 an 7 were decent. an the rest after 7 suxed. i didn't see pt 10 but i hear it's terrible an of only hearing bits an pieces of it i know it's gnna be but hey i'll still watch it. in fact i'm buying all of them on dvd! my next one is gnna be pt 5 till get. anwys it's true that people should judge a film before they see it or do the same to a book. but on how i am
i can tell if right away if the movie is gnna sux an of course i've been wrong many times in my doing this but hey nobody's perfect. but i still watch for entertainment. an even if i already know how the film is gnna end i still watch it either way. how about u guys an gals? if there's any women on this threat i mean.

They had a different person play jason in every Friday the 13.

i know that. duh i've been watching those movies since childhood. an i was just kidding bout the duh. Kane hodder as in the friday the 13th posts he plays a good jason true but all of the movies he's done cept for pt 7 which was the last good one anwys well that's what i think anywys. it's not great but ok. the rest have stunk. an as others have commented the more jason was in the movie the less scary he became i like the mystery of him lurking in the shadows. i am curious on what the other jason's look like though. one is dead i think an that's richard brooker i think he did jason in pt 3 if i am not mistaken. don't quote me on that cuz i'm not sure if he is dead.anyways as for this series i'm glad warwick davis has been in all of them. those films i'm sorry aren't that great. a friend of mine said they should end the series like they started it with about the same cast well with out jennifer aniston i'm guessing she won't do another one an who could blame her? anwys he said they should just give him his pot of gold. i don't know about U but i want the series 2 end. at least for the friday the 13th films an nightmare on elm street series they've all been released theatrically. these most of them just go either straight 2 cable or video. well i'm done rambling now. thanxs for listining.

Leprechaun: Back 2 the hood

Well, after waiting since last October, I finally scored a copy of this and I have to say I was not displeased. If you know the leprechaun, you know its not all about horror, but with a lot of comedy added in. If you didn't know, this movie wouldn't appeal to you. Much alike Robert England as Freddy, NO ONE but Warwick Davis could capture the character of the Leprechaun as good as he can. So let's not blame Warwick if the sequels aren't as good as the original is, I mean hell Nothing is as good as a classic. The sad truth about the poor Lep is once a film as been taken from horror and mixed with comedy (much alike Chucky going from "child's play" to "bride of Chucky") It just isn't scary anymore. The leprechaun was all about horror in the first 2 films, then it got kind of stupid. But lets face it, it would have even sucked harder if Warwick wasn't as the Lep, am I right? you bet your *beep* ass I am!

This film, like the rest of them is Not a continuing sequel, but much alike the last film (Lep in the hood) it puts him back in the hood. It starts with him fighting a preacher for his gold. The preacher sends him back to hell to await until someone else finds his unlucky pot of gold. That unlucky someone is a girl named Emily, who is saving up to get into college. Her, her ex (who is now a drug-dealer) boyfriend Rory, and the Moron, Jamie, find the gold and go about the town buying everything up. The Lep appears, wanting his gold ... and wanting "The Good *beep*" since he hasn't had a good smoke in 2000 years. when he int getting stoned through out the film, he is starting up a big gore-fest.

The effects actually were quite good, even for low budget, But were not scary.

Horror- * out of *****.

But that doesn't stop it from providing lots of fun and laughs from good ol' leppy through out the whole movie!

Comedy- **** out of *****.

Overall, this film is the 3rd best leprechaun movie, and is a good sequel in my opinion, it is worth a rent if you have some free time. Just understand you're going to be watching a Comedy movie with gore, not a horror film.

Overall Rating- *** out of *****.

Lets just hope they don't, and if they do make another film, that it moves out of the hood and back to normal places. Personally I think it would be neat to see a prequel, kind of like the start of Leprechaun 2, taking place back in the past to show Leppy when he was in his home of Golden belongings, munching on tatters and ale with his fellow Lep's. It would be like Hobbiton from hell.
