Even though I like European cinema, this one is plain stupid.
Luckily, now I know the director is also behind 'Jalla Jalla', which I was about to watch, but now I won't!!!

Exactly. It is supposed to be a hollywood spoof. In my opinion, this movie was pretty damn funny too.

The idea with kopps is to make fun of all the crappy hollywood action movies, dont take it to seriously, its a parody, you moron.

I'm disappointed that Josef Fares gets the attention he gets.
Unlike Lasse Hallström who makes Swedish films in hollywood, Josef Fares makes hollywood-flicks in Sweden.
I understand if it works here as it isn't how we usually make movies. But I don't see any point in us doing Hollywood-like movies. Swedes think it's something fresh when it's really just very old. Torkel Pettersson is the only thing I like about the Josef Fares package.
Not to impressed when Josef called my friend a whore either (commenting her gothic clothing), but that's beside the point.
I understand if anyone from outside sweden watch this and think it's crap.
Oh... and for your information... Jalla Jalla is even worse.
saw this movie a few minutes ago and laughed my ass of at some szenes,the bank robbery in the beginning was the best and the shootout in the woods

I can't believe anyone from Sweden would say this due to the fact that one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of cinema, Ingmar Bergman, come from that country.
This movie was really funny. Take it for what it is, a good comedy. Saw it back in April at the Philadelphia Film Festival. The theater was packed and the audience loved it. Hopefully it will get released on DVD. I was looking for the director's previous work but I can't find it anywhere (Jalla Jalla). Anybody have any clues.

jalla jalla is hilarious, kopps is great too but you would need a special kind of houmour watching it
