I was fortunate enough to see this movie at a premiere in Columbia, Maryland last year. In a sea of mundane films and unoriginal screenplays, HUNTING HUMANS really rises to the top of a short "must see" list.
If you're a fan of independent film or thrillers in general, here comes a film that will not bore you. It keeps you on the edge of your seat from the word "go."
Unique in both script and concept, HUNTING HUMANS will make you crave the release of director Kevin Kangas' next film. You leave the theatre wanting more from both Kangas and star Rick Gantz.
This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The acting stinks, the kills stink, the camera work stinks, the camera is all grainy, the plot stinks. What the heck is so good about this movie? The many plot "twists" that are lame? or did you work on the film and are trying to get more people to view it?
Hunting Humans kinds of reminds of another movie called Natural Selection AKA Monster Hunter which also dealt with serial killers. Seeing as how you liked this movie, you might want to check it out.
Guys if you click on the name you will see that this is the only thing Ramsus 24 has ever posted. Obviouslly he was in some way involved with this movie or knows someone who is and is trying to drum up interest.
This movie was so bad it left an oily stain on my soul.
I've met Kevin Kangas and several of the actors (mostly the theater victims). Maybe I'm biased but I thought it was an admirable 1st project.
I finally got around to watching the DVD tonight (1/22/2007) although I've had a copy of the DVD for a couple years.
Not bad. It's not a "Gone with the Wind" or "the African Queen" but it's not "The Giant Claw" either. The overall acting, including the office people, was C+ to B-. Everyone showed promise.
Yes, the switcheroo-roo-roo-roo-is-it-ever-going-to-end at the end was contrived. Yes, there were rough spots in the editing.
But it was a story and the telling was good. It was better than most of the stuff on TV, certainly better than a many big budget films. By that I mean, did anyone see "Van Helsing"? VH was pretty bad and it had a huge budget.
HH isn't a must see but it was enjoyable.
Anyone ever watch "24", how's that for contrived???
I saw this movie around three years ago, I think. Maybe two, I dunno. I just thought of it because I'm working on a story about a hitman, and the thought came into my head. I don't know.
I don't remember it being that bad. It was bad, but not incredibly so. Just kind of there. Definitely not a unique, high octane thriller.
