Good for what it is.

I eagerly awaited the release of this low-budget film on video. I watched today and I was suprised.

The quality of the sound and the actual look of the film was much as I expected. Not what you would have in a well financed project. What suprised me was the original music, and the way the story was told. I sort of expected a "hach-em -up" film with some redeeming qualities.

The story was not overdependent on gore. Actually with a few exceptions there was no gore. The story carried itself. It was a bit overdependent on narration.

The score was very well done. Overly dramatic in a rare instance but better than some high $ films I have seen.

The acting was probably the weakness in the film. This was because I don't think that all the parts were played by actors.

I gave this film 5 out of 10 stars and I am going to see the next project that this duo (actor/director)puts out.

They have talent. That is in my humble opinion.

I thought that this film had a very good premise, and was good for the first half of the film. The idea of a man killing in a quiet theater was very original. However, the last thirty minutes or so became ridiculous. The part in which they do about 4 "switcherooos" in the span of three minutes ruined the film for me.

"... it strikes a man more dead than a great reckoning in a little room."

I grew up in the late 80's, early 90's so bad, really bad direct to video horror movies were an every saturday thing to me. So this is far from the worst film i've ever seen. I bought it because i read an article in Fango and i loved the serial killer vs. serial killer storyline so i really wanted to check it out. It did have a good plot, and doing what they did is my biggest dream so i do envy them since they actually accomplished what they did. It isn't great(and though compared to their sophmore effort it looks a lot better)but its worth checking out on Showtime.

The idea of a man killing in a theatre is not a original idea. Off the top of my head it happens in Scream 2 (1997).
