One of the Best songs I've ever heard

Hey guys, what is your favorite song in Hitman 2:Silent Assassin? Mine is the one you first hear in the mission Anathema. That is some kick-ass music!

reply

yeah I love that track too, it's titled "Sicily", very Godfather like. I also love the main theme with the Sweeping Choir and orchestra, such a moving Score, JEsper Kyd (Composer of the Game) should do more work and should be as well known by now as Hans Zimmer or John Williams. He's really underappreciated.

Are you sure you're talking about the right one? I'm talking about that "stealth mode" track you hear at almost every level. It's really exciting.

reply

You said the first song you hear on the "Anathema" mission, when he kneels down by the rock and gives himself the sign of the cross? that's the track that I'M talking about called "Sicily" in any case it doesn't matter because Jesper Kyd is an amazing composer, if you wanna hear some more of his work in Video Game music I reccomend the game "Freedom Fighters" made by the same people who made Hitman 2.

Yeah, but I meant AFTER that scene. By the way, are you a boy or a girl?

I'm a guy...

Sorry. It's just that I have yet to find a girl who has the same passion as I do: video games and good music. MY dream girl... Anyway, do you like the Silent Hill games?

reply

You know what? Let's just forget what I said back there, alright? I don't know what I was thinking. Anyway, we probably shouldn't talk about Silent Hill in here, since it's a Hitman 2 board. If you want to keep talking to me, I'll be in the Silent Hill 2 board. BTW, my ID is my name, Axel Estrada, in case you were wondering.

I loved the music in St. Petersburg stakeout. it set the mood so good

reply

LOVED that song, too!!

reply

I think the best music is what is used at the start of the Basement Killing level, and on the end credits.

The lionesses realized they killed a tofudebeest- one of the Serengeti's obnoxious health antelopes

reply

Oh, you should hear the Freedom Fighters soundtrack, i think some of those songs are even better, he's a great composer.

reply

Nobuo Uematsu will never stop from being my favorite composer.(Hey, I'm just saying, is all)

reply

And what about Akira Yamaoka? He was the sound director for the Silent Hill games. Now HE's good.
My favourite theme in Hitman is just the Russian-like choir in the main menu.

There is no 'save game' in real life

reply

He`s my second favorite. BTW, have you guys played the Game Boy Advance game Iridion 3-D? I just did, and let me tell you, the music is incredible. I wonder where I can download it?

My favorite is entitled "47 makes a decision" which is playing after you let the game sit idle at the main screen.

reply

I liked the Main Title too, I actually started the game once and let the music play =D

About composers in games, check out Amon Tobin (Chaos Theory) and Frank Klepacki (C&C), though not the same style as Kyd, they are really good too.

reply

The Main Title is great, I've sat and let the music play, but what I really love is that music when 47 in the beginning "digs up his past" in the garden shed after the priest is kidnapped. Jesus christ, that sends chills down my spine.

reply

the music in Terminal Hospitality, after he changes into doctors clothing and makes way to elevator, it sooooooo sounds very exotic James Bond type.

I want to all men!

reply

My absolute fave song on here is the one in "Shogun Showdown" - I think I must've stayed on that lvl just to hear the song over and over. It's funny, I never notice things like this with other games I've played. That Jesper Kyd is tite.

reply

What's the pianist playing in "the Jacuzzi Job"? Is that Beethoven?

reply

Also, what is the pianist in the "Invitation to a party" mission playing?

reply

credits music, "47 makes a decision"

honorable mention to japanese snow castle, action begins (first level when you hit the basement), 47 in st. petersburg, and trouble in russia.

the soundtrack is available for download on iTunes. You should buy it. One of the best music purchases I've ever made. Jesper Kyd is amazing. You should also play Freedom Fighters, also scored by Kyd. The Russian epic 80s music is great.

reply

Ultima, the "Sicily" track is called "H2 Exploration".

I also love the "Japanese Mansion" track. I got the whole thing off iTunes.

the best songs are: "Sicily Slow" (the song that plays when 47 is in the garden), "The Setup" (the song that plays when 47 is in his sanctuary), and
"Fast Ambience" (the ambient track that plays during the st petersburg mission)

The best song is the one that play's during the Japan missions. I know I heard it on "At The Gates".
