Favourite level/moment

What moments in the game are everyone's favourite? Mine would have to be the hit on Herr Fuchs in the Budapest Hotel, just opening the door and capping the old guy in the shower feels so much like a movie i've forgotten, and it frustrates me every time.

that was the first one so id have to say my favorite lvl for the first one is, the first mission where u gotta snipe the red dragon triad, and for the second game id have to say basement killing where u kill the computer guy. and jacuzzi job its fun gettin silent assassin on those 2 lvls, and also kirov park meeting is a great one.

reply

Ha, the Jacuzzi Job... "You want to make boom-boom with Charlie??"

My personal favorite would have to be the last Japanese mission, where you have to take out Japanese father in his castle. The music on that mission was so heroic, and the option of the helicopter bomb was beautiful.
Also, that special Japanese modded sniper rifle was beyond sweet.

Basement killing, dressing up like a fireman and what not just seems so undercover and deadly i love it, also the one where you rescue the army guy who's being interogated, the music in those levels also rocks the army one reminds me of the movie goldeneye.

reply

Yeah the basement killing rules, partly for the fact that it was the only level that i acheived "Silent Assassin" on. :)

I loved being the Pizza Delivery Guy, no one EVER suspects the Pizza Delivery Guy! mwhahaha

Although I always loved the levels set in the middle-east. I always hated how they got cut out of the game due to 9/11. Censorship sucks.

id have to say..trying to get the UN Soldiers rifle. you could only kill him by means of fiberwire (for some reason or another this doesnt count as a "kill") ..so i stood up on the roof of a buidling and when one walked by, i jumped down into the space between him and the wall and attempted to fiber wire...no workie..so he turns his gun on me and i run around him in circles at close range until i can get my fiber wire securly around his neck. id say we "danced" for a good five minutes.

Haven't played this game in a while so I can't remember the name of this mission, but the one where you're on that exotic island and you have to kill the very sick general or something. It's fun.

Dude the best level is the showdown in the church the last level. it should sooo be made into a movie man it would kick *beep* ass

reply

My favorite level is Anathema, I've played that level over and over so many times it's ridiculous. Anathema, the 2nd level in Hitman 2, has to be my favorite level of any Hitman game. 2nd favorite would be the last level, Redemption at Gontranno (I got the game loaded up right now, that's why I know the level names! lol). Nobody's talked about least favorite level, but I guess least fav for me would be the 2 snow-based levels in the middle of the game, they're ok, but I'm not crazy about them. The whole game is great though, I still pick it up for fun every now and then.

By the way, when Hitman 2 came out on PS2, I remember reading an interview with the developers of the game, and they also said their favorite level of the game is Anathema, I'd have to agree with them there.

It's also my favourite mission. I played it about ten times. The last time I got a silent assassin ranking.

Most hated: killing the nurse with the red hair.

Hardest: Redemption at Gontranno, I got killed about a dozen times, but I finally did it.

I also enjoyed Murder at the Bazaar and the mission that came before that one.

I like the Basement Killing. Just cracking out the shotgun and killing everyone in the level, then just calmly walking out of there.

I thought the last level was really easy. You can kill the last bad guy by pointing your sniper rifle down the stairs and getting an easy headshot, without him even realising you're there.

The Kirov Park Meeting with the car bombs is also cool.

I just got Hitman Contracts yesterday, and it's wicked.

reply

it's wicked... Is that good or bad? I rented it once but that was before i played silent assassin. I didn't know the controls and not even 47 himself, so i wasn't interested. But I'm gonna rent it once more if i have some spare time.

Favourite scenario - two KGB generals in a St. Petersburg Park on my 8th attempt.

Neutralised a soldier for his uniform, shouldered my way past two bemused FSB guards, aimed my AK-47 towards the distant bench where the two generals were and fired in a sustained Ouroboros pattern (an 8 on it's side), then legged it, shooting an FSB agent in the leg as I scrambled round the corner for an manhole cover.

Two confirmed kills
One casualty
SWEET.

On a seperate note, since the Vin Diesel movie xXx introduced us to Russia's FSB state security agency, facing them in the game felt extra special; found myself treating them with respect, rather than simply as standard computer game opposition.

reply

Favourite is the Krirov Park Meeting where you kill the general and that Russian mobster, I study mobsters so that made it fun and also the Anathema level for same reasons

reply

My favourite level is "Invitation To A Party". Getting Silent Assassin on it is fun 'cause you get to send 47 to a nice party with lots of people in nice suits and tuxes. Except 47 is there to "execute an objective" and steal a case full of cash. Also, running through that level with an M60 or SPAS 12 is great, 'cause then you've got all these random German folks running around crying for help. Talk about "party crasher"!

Hitman 2 can be filled with lots of great moments because of the scenery, characters, music, etc. My personal favourite moment was in Anathema. I stood on the balcony and waited for the boss to walk into his office, crept up behind him, and slit his throat. Then the music started, and I took the key and walked away. Very chilling!

My least favourite level in this game is "Tunnel Rat". Something about crawling around in sewage didn't make me feel to happy.

reply

lest favorite was like someone stated above the snow missions didnt like them for obvious wide open reasons lol

reply

I liked the mission where you get set up and have to get your own gun after finding out you're shooting with blanks. Really added to the plot. I liked a lot of the missions, be it for the scenery or the music. Like mentioned before, I didn't really like the snow missions. They seemed out of place, made it feel more like a war game or something. Then again, the final shootout in the church was really fabulous. With the intense music and having to make a run for your weapon shed, it really made it feel like an action movie.
I had most fun with that UN motorcade mission. I completed it at first attempt, by shooting through a narrow alley at the car and killing the target. After that I dropped my rifle and I could just walk away without anyone finding me suspicious. It was a lucky shot but it made me feel like a real bad fothermucker :)

Greatest levels:

Hitman Codename 47: Plutonium runs loose - the one with Boris and the nuclear bomb. It's so cool to kill everyone with the sniper, before they warn their boss.
Hitman Silent Assassin: Basement killing - it has lots of different ways to be solved.
Hitman Contracts: Uff. It's difficult to choose one, I loved every one of them, especially the "new" ones (it's sad that they chose to re-make half of the levels of this game instead of designing new ones; otherwise, this game would be perfect). In fact, I ended the game in "professional" mode, without any kill (except for targets, of course), any alarm and any shoot. But I would say the most funny was Beldingford Manor.

reply

my favorite is Anathema, theres so many ways to complete it, and i just love going through the whole mansion, just killing everyone. is it just me, or did anybody else find it hilarious how the bodies just flew 80 ft when you shot someone. it just felt so badass

reply

redemtion at gontranno sactuary is the best, Hitman 2 is the best game because it had the best story out of all of them.

St. Petersburg Stakeout, the first time I played that level I played it over and over again about 5 times. Once I got fed up of sneaking around so I got silently into the building, ran in the room and shot the guy in the face. I laughed so much I nearly cried...

"...and Moe, you'll be Cue Ball."
"You're an idiot."
