Besides this one, 'death proof' stills be toilette paper

Exactly right. Death Proof is possibly the hardest and most self important supposed road rage movie I've ever sat through. I've never seen a writer director more in love with his own dialogue than Tarantino. And the unrated version of DP is two hours with 90 mins of dialogue and 30 minutes of car action. In other words, it's the most ridiculous imbalance of necessity of parts for an action movie in the history of film.
