This film was horrible!!!

I am a Christian and appreciate a good Christian movie, but this was just plain horrible. The story was soooooo mixed up. I don't know if it was just me but it seemed that the all the events in the book of Revelation happened in a few days... did I miss something? The script was almost laughable, the acting was below par and the quality of the picture was just plain bad... and I was watching a DVD. I must admit I was excited by the trailer and rushed out to buy the DVD. But boy was I disappointed. I thank the Lord that there are Christian film-makers out there willing to spend the time and money to produce Christian movies but I have to admit as of late there hasn't been too many that have been up to Hollywood's standards (I mean in quality... not morals). Try Six the Mark Unleashed, Left Behind or The Moment After if you want to see a well made 'Endtime' thriller.

I know this thread is dead and rightly so. Having seen "Gone" personally though, I thought I would comment. I used to have friends over for "bad movie night" every once in a while, so I know what a good "bad" movie should have in it to make it palatable in some way. I believe that this is the worst movie I have ever seen. I was hard pressed to say exactly why it was the worst, until I realized that my main gripe with the movie, as a whole, is that it is not uniformly bad. There are pretty shots, there are scenes with decent lighting, there is (at least one) scene with decent acting and script and some of the special effect are not that bad. But these elements are few and far between and only serve to show what the movie might have been if anyone was the least bit concerned with being consistent (it would have been a good "bad" movie). It is the perfect example of what not to do in almost every aspect of film making. Simply amazing in its terribleness. The "quentin tarantino of christian film making"? The person who made that comment as well as the director/editor of this film demonstrate total and complete illiteracy with the language of film. If you like film in general, this movie may hurt you to watch. It may also make you laugh at the preposterous errors that nearly everyone could point out. This is not a good bad movie. Bad movies fail at humor, plot, acting, writing or special effects, but not all at the same time. This is a miserable film and it has become somewhat of a challenge personally to find a film that is worse. I doubt I will be able to find such a horror.

Clearly this is as bad as they come. Acting was weak, script was horrible, direction even worse. Only thing worse than this film is being dumb enough to go out and buy it. That is why I am glad for NetFlix, we rented it first, soooooooooooo glad we did.

Man! I actually bought this movie though I can't remember where. Anyway, once again I was fooled by the DVD case. I will admit the acting was terrible and though I haven't finished it yet, I can tell I'll probably fall asleep on it.

I haven't heard of the movies you listed except The Moment. Wasn't there a Moment 2? Anyway, does anyone know of any movies about the rapture? Please don't list The Rapture with Mimi Rogers. That was an awful movie, in my opinion.

I forgot I did see Left Behind but I read the books and the movie just didn't do the books any justice. They tried to cram too much into 2 hrs. They could've have a mini series. Anyway...
