1/10 (could've been 0). Here's why:

I don't hate FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY just for being a cash-in on the success of AMERICAN IDOL (that would be unfair). I hate it because the lack of real motivation for script writer Kim Fuller resulted in a half-assed and boring script. This is the 1st R&B musical I've seen. The concept was interesting enough for me to want to see it again in another movie with better songs. The only passable tracks here are coincidentally the ones where the lyrics have nothing to do with the scene. I'm referring to WISH UPON A STAR, MADNESS and the 1st part of ANYTIME. The movie ends with a terrible cover of THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT. Musical film 101: You can have covers among the original tunes, but not as the final number. Kelly Clarkson admitted that she didn't want to be in the movie and was obligated by contract. If I consider that, and the fact that she isn't a trained actress, her performance is decent. I mean, to this day, she's one of the most charismatic singers. Justin Guarini's performance is weaker than her, because it always feel like he's acting instead of feeling like he is his character. How ironic, since the character was written specifically for him. You know whose performance is really bad? Brian Dietzen's. I am so voting him off! I get why villains are forgiven at the end of incredibly cheesy movies like this, but I'm pretty sure that ALEXA is a sociopath. What the *beep*?!

I don't think anyone would be interested in reading more, that's my thought.
