plot summary?

Elsewhere on the internet, I read this.

==========

In BR2 This competition is broadcast as a reality show and two winners are allowed due to a love-story angle which the public just eats up, this couple eventually becomes a symbol of a revolution which in turn evolves into a full scale civil war. I believe that the point of the show was to frighten the general population into obedience.

================

This certainly does not match other plot summaries I have read. What do you think?

Why would a military group trying to fight a bunch of terrorists treat it as a competition, televise it, and let the viewers decide on policy? And why are there no other plot summaries mentioning this part of the story? It sounds to me like they're trying to market Battle Royale 2 as a HUNGER GAMES clone.

What part of kidnapping a group of rugby players was in THG?
What part of THG had a teacher throwing a rugby ball and screaming 'Merry Christmas' was in THG.
What part of Army units staying out of a battle was in THG? What part of exploding necklaces that were directly linked to your partner was in THG? (That was in a movie called 'Wedlock' though. That came out in 1991, did very well in Japan as well.)
Where in THG is a beachhead stormed in a direct rip off of the D-Day landings, as done by Steven Spielberg?
Are you ever going to watch BR 2? I don't blame you for not watching the film, it's dire.

Where's "elsewhere on the internet"? Sounds like a crock to me--made up either by you as a troll, or by someone else who's put one over on you. Someone simply took a Hunger Games summary and pasted "BR2" on it.

Battle Royale II has nothing it all to do with that summary.

"Elsewhere on the internet" is the Mockingjay I IMDB site. SOmebody posted the summary I quoted and claimed Collins stole the plot from BR2. As you say, it looks like Someone simply took a Hunger Games summary and pasted "BR2" on it in order to malign the HG writer, and I wanted to confirm that. Thank you.
