How far in before you quit watching?

For me it was as the kids were charging up the hill, without armor, against oncoming gunfire. Characters who had barely been identified being killed by an unseen enemy.

Loved the first movie. This one was terrible. The few positive reviews I've read here recommend watching the director's cut. Maybe it adds some back story. I doubt that it fixes the "teens throwing themselves on bullets" problem. The Hunger Games was criticized for being a poor version of Battle Royale, and BR2 manages to be a poor version of The Hunger Games.

CSB: Bought this used (but not cheap) without realizing it was a region 3 DVD, went through the work of downloading software to watch it.

It's a race to the bottom then. Which sequel generator will survive?

Am I supposed to put any stock in the opinion of someone who didn't even finish the movie, let alone (apparently) make it through the first fifteen minutes?

I'm not saying this movie is good, but the basis of your criticism, the fact that the kids are dealt with and killed off in a manner *different*--not worse, but *different* from the first movie, is shortsighted and flawed. Yes, most of the kids are cannon fodder (not that many of the BR1 kids were developed any better), but that's because there were more characters to handle than just the 42 kids--there was also a truckload of terrorists. The fact that the movie quickly had the students (students with little training, and more importantly, students that the government INTENDED to be fodder for the terrorists) pared down to a handful of characters to focus on is NOT a flaw of the movie. The movie has plenty of other problems, but that is not one of them.

This is a thread for people who didn't finish the movie, so yes. Thanks for clicking.

20 minutes. Terrible movie.

I kept trying for a few days, but ultimately left with about 40 minutes to go. I just didn't care at all about what was going on and couldn't handle the crazy, nonsensical acting, dialogue, and character actions.
