Alexandra's Project similar to Audition....

So I just finished this film and I'll just say that as I guy, I felt this was the equivalent of a horror film. I liked it and found it thought provoking but it was extremely uncomfortable for me to watch and I think probably for most guys (and yes women too).

That being said, this and Takashi Miike's film Audition seemed to strike some similar chords for me. They both had some interesting things to say about how women and men hear things and communicate differently. Although Audition seems somehow more subtle(???) in it's presentation and message.

Anyway, I feel that they accompany each other well and thought I'd put it out there.
