It's getting worse and worse!

A couple of years ago, I didn't mind this show. Some of the acting and plots was a bit ropey but for a local soap I thought it was actually alright and I foun d it watchable. However in the past year, since the new format of making the show more episodic, I find absolutely mundane trash. Most of the good characters have left and have been replaced by young cardboard cutouts- the students, the hairdressers, andy Stewarts son from Titanic (can't remember the characters name) and why oh why do we have to focus on the Murdoch family, sorry I don't care about Lenny Murdoch and his wife (whose changed soaps more times than she's changed her hairstyle) with the false Scottish accent! If they've not got rid of some characters, they give others complete personality transplants eg the new Joanne.

I bring up the Joanne character because of the recent episode where I saw that her oldest child was killed in a car accident because it was handled badly by the writers and wasn't as moving as it could have been, just really annoying and unrealistic.

The ghost episode, this week... I mean exactly who writes this garbage?

If anyone from BBC Scotland or the River City production team is reading this, go back to the old style it was better or just write better plots. I sometimes think you've been watching too much "Hollyoaks" from the stupid plots, bad acting, over use of music, crap "comical" moments that would make the Chuckle Bros cringe... need I go on. Sort it out or ditch because anyone the few people I know that did watch it, have turned off!
