Stop analyzing demographic rating charts and try making a funny show!!

Another example of an unfunny sitcom created by one of the big three networks. This show was put on TV only because Friends will be gone next year and NBC needs another "hip new show" about attractive single people. Although I'm not a big fan, Friends became popular because (at least at first) it was FUNNY! I know it sounds like a stretch, but maybe these TV producers should put a show on the air because it's funny and not because it looks like it will fill their demographic statistics.

Amen. Judging by these message boards I don't think this show will last much longer.

I wouldnt go as far as sayng that "nbc sucks" because, ABC and FOX are way worse. anyways, i do think this show will not last. i dont think the general public are interested in a show about attractive singles sleeping with each other and then talking about it using inuendo. i think the reason why successful shows like seinfeld and friends lasted so long was because they were so simple. seinfeld was about "nothing" and friends is just about six people who just happened to be friends with each other. how simple can you get? coupling, on the other hand, is trying way to hard to be controversial and interesting. they are trying to have all of the characters sleep together including the bisexual woman who easily convinces her straight female friends to sleep with her. its all about sex, sex, sex. what is this, hbo? this is a national television station. people want to sit down watch something that is funny, not soft-porn. well, maybe some people want to watch soft-porn but, not on nbc. i also heard one of the actors in that show say "its not just about sex, its about relationships". that made me want to laugh so hard. like they are really going to have ground-breaking plots, and thoughtful dialogue about "relationships". i dont think so, its just garbage disguised as a tv show.

When shows like this bite the dust it gives me hope that there is still good taste lingering in the U.S. As far as I know it hasn't been cancelled yet but all signs point to YES, it will.

I wonder what unfunny, recycled, sitcom or phony, scripted, reality show will replace it. I saw this show once, it was terrible. I've pretty much given up on primetime network shows. NBC, CBS, and ABC need to grow some balls and try something original. Fox might not be great but they have the guts to try something new.
