Very Distrubing Movie

This is another movie from "Lifetime" where stepmother has affair with the stepson. I am from the old school and I thought the father was a wonderful father in that he wanted to give his son all the things that he had worked so hard for, but did not have much time to spend with his son while growing up. Some young people of this generation want everthing to be handed to them on a silver platter and not have to work for it; and everyone knows that things you have to work for is appreciated more.

Back to the movie. We get to hear later the son whining about his father leaving his mother. Situations happen, grow up Harvard Graduate, you should be smart enough to know that your father was away from home so often trying to make the family fortune, that they just grew apart. I never did hear the son say that his father did not provide for them even though he did not visit his mother when she was sick. The father did have a slight temper, but thats to be expected with all that he had achieved.

Also, the father was very naive to trust his young globe-trotting son around his sexy younger wife in this day and age without knowing what kind of man his son had grown up to be. Its enough trouble that some children harbor resentment from in-house parents, let alone parents that have been absent for most of their lives. As an older man he should have known that she just married him for his money and he wanted a trophy wife and that she would snare any hot stud that tickled her fancy. What was he thinking? He was asking for trouble.

As wealthy as the man appeared to be living in a big mansion you would have thought he would have more aides, bodyguards, etc. around working for him to watch over him. We only get to see one female housekeeper briefly and she is sent packing off on a vacation.

The police did not do a good job in investigating the father death. Everyone who had something to gain should have stayed a suspect: Wife; being previously poor and a Son that comes home recently and the father is suddenly killed, even the attorney friend, who is so lovey dovey with the wife.

This movie proves that there is so much greed and resentment out there and no loyaty or respect from some people, so Beware: rich father or mother do not be so trusting of your children or spouses, being that they may be out to cash you in early.
