I think the story told by the Naseer in Jail at climax was a fake one...and he did so just for getting another chance to live? a few things in evidence to this :: if Naseer wud have killed Jakie's wife,it wud have been stated well in the postmortem report that the reason of death is not stabbing?
shareI dont think that after Jackie confessed to the crime of murdering his wife and being caught red handed the police or the doctors would've taken the pains of performing the autopsy of the corpse, and even if they did , this amount of directional flaw is forgiveable to the otherwise flawless direction. (another scene that was atrocious btw was "bacchon ka khooni" one ;) ) .. rest you would agree that this movie was better than movies like shawshank and memento. Jai Hind. !

but one think i dun agree with huskarl is that eventhough the movie was 10/10 n better than shawshank ...u cannot compare it to memento
caus thats the movie that has lauched the post modern revolution in editing in hollywood..u cannot compare themovies..memento is 10/10 also. or maybe 10.2

yes even i agree that the story told by naseerudin was a fake ... and even Juhi got her revenge... anyways .. what i really wanted 2 say was .. puhlleeeez puhleez i mean puhhhleeez ... dont refer 2 da ending as a climax .. it sounds too bollywoodish .. and 3 deewarein wasnt a bolly flick but an Indian movie ... i guess its about time now that we stop copying from hollywood ... though i thought that this movie was a copy of shawshank durin the first hour .. (heh)
and yes even i agree that this was better than shawshank .. i think shawshank was way too overrated by ppl .. it was good yes no doubt worthy of its Best picture oscar nod . probably a classic .. but there are many great movies ...
and how can u compare this to memento .. hullo?
I really hope that Mr kukunoor releases this in the US and sends it for Oscar consideration .. there's no way this film wont win

Hey... it is a good movie (very rare in bollywood) but no way better than Shawshank, the endin was a bit over-the-top and reminded me of Pulp Fiction, besides there was a lil feelin that we're watchin a bollywood flick. Anyhow, its way better than the rest of the crap put up regularly by those bollywood meat-headed *beep*
shareThe movie was ABSOLUTELY GREAT until the end. The ending ruined it. Why did the author insist on making a nice-packaged movie! Granted, I can see how some might think the story is made-up, but I doubt it. I think the author was just trying to wrap things up nicely (so that way he can explain the notion of innocence).

Naseeruddin is as usual at his best....others were good too.
for heaven's sake, please dont compare this movie with Shawshank redemption or Memento. Both are masterpieces....and are in a league of its own.
No doubt teen diwaarein was good but come on it can beat shawshank.
The plot of shawshank was just mind-blowing to say the least. acting was stupendous....Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman were stunning.
I don't think Naseeruddin Shah was lying. The ending would not have been made this way in that case. It really does not make sense then. And also why would the director choose to hide this fact?

And the single reason i think so is that he tells all three during the beginning i.e. Jackie,Juhi and Nagesh that he has seen them before..
if he was lying..then this should be the case only with Juhi..which is not so.
