...prove just how subjective taste in comedy, and art in general really, can be. I happen to love this movie. I'm not some kid who gets a kick out of every lowbrow comedy that gets made, but rather I'm an adult, and I think I have pretty good taste in movies.

I wondered why the rating for this film was so low and why a lot of the comments were so vehemently negative. I've finally had to concede that what people find funny (or not) will often point out more of our differences than it will our similarities. Full stop. It might be interesting to analyze why this is, but I'm sure as heck not going to attempt that here. I think the appreciation of humor might provide deeper insights into our psychological and emotional makeups than most of us think. For another time perhaps...

I just wanted a chance to say again how much I liked this movie, and that those who didn't like it maybe give it another chance.

Well, it certainly deserves a rating higher than 5.8. Despite watching the movie while in a blasé mood, I surprised myself by actually laughing at several lines/scenes. Also, the soundtrack is decent to say the least. Unfortunately I just couldn't get into the main plot of them being physically connected.

Yeah, there's a lot about this movie that I really liked, including -- now that you've mentioned it -- the great soundtrack. I thought they used music to great effect. It's a fun movie! And clever. That it rates under a 6 is puzzling. Anyone reading this thread, I say give the movie another chance.

I agree completely. Sure, it's not award winning by any means but it's still a good light-hearted movie! It is a silly concept but they made it great with that they had. It wasn't too cheesy and it was smart humor. Not ridiculous humor nowadays where people think acting stupid is funny (anchorman 2, dumb and dumber 2, mall cop, etc).

All of the great (a-list) actors that are in this movie just proves they do not take themselves too seriously and are willing to have fun. I think it at least deserves a 6.5. I gave it a 7 lol
