It sounds like there is going to be a 4th film just not live action. I have the link;

The revenus for the 3rd movie wasn't good enough to warrent a 4quel. Goodbye and good riddence to this series.

Given the type of 'end' Rodriguez filmed for this movie (with everyone from the 1st 2 movies back in a cameo), it truly is "game over" for the Spy Kids series....not to mention Rodriguez seems to be a big believer in "trilogies" (he mentions it in the special features of Once Upon A Time In Mexico)

And to the person who mentioned the less then stellar revenue....check your numbers, while the 2nd movie made roughly $89 million at the box office (with a $39 million budget), the 3rd made $111 million (same budget of $39 million)...I'd call that a little word called "profit".
