Pavel is an idiot too stupid to stay put. Over and over, he was told to not move but he kept moving around putting everyone's lives in jeopardy. Beckett should have put a bullet in Pavel's leg when he refused to stay hidden behind the log during the firefight in the jungle.

He directly caused Cole's death at Simand but never acknowledged or apologized to the him before he died. Someone should have pushed him out the chopper at the end. He would have died a martyr and fueled the rebellion.

Actually Cole caused his own death when he gave away his position by going 'full out auto' on the sniper, even Becket says over the radio don't give away your position. Plus he waits until deciding to retreat, rather than making a run for it after going full auto on the sniper, who by that point would be trying to retreat himself to a better vantage point.
