Really captures the loneliness of urban life in your late twenties


Those little crap apartments you have, holding down some meaningless job, wandering out into the night hoping for some connection. Martin really captures that like I haven't seen in film before.

Very true.. very "unhollywood" movie.. And in some ways it was worse for Mirabelle in that she didn't have a stereotypical big family to go home to and hang out with.. her time with them seemed cold as well.. its a double edged sword at that age.. It is exciting to be on your own, to have new experiences but it can also be very lonely for a young single person
