whiny celebrities

i think this movie was just horrible. Mel gibson obviously just used it to humiliate paparazzis.

I think it is stupid how actors all 'hate' the paparazzi, saying they are 'invading' their privacy.

Funny how when these celebrities weren't famous nor popular yet, they would die for their pictures to be in magazines. their agents even tip them off to paparazzis, just so they can be known. Then when they do become famous and popular, they turn 360 degrees around. They swear, sue, and accuse the paparazzi.

Also, isn't just weird how the celebs never complain if the paparazzi caught a shot of the celeb with their famiily, or Bruce Wilis being the 'family man', playing with kids etc. Nor do they complain when their doing something related to charity i.e. helping some sort of organisation. But when they are shot crying, shouting, swearing or cheating on their spouse, they accuse paparazzis of invading their personal privacy!

Geez, and the celebs should just think before they enter this business. They earn so much money just filming-publicity is PART of their job! Premieres, invitational parties... those are shot by paparazzis too right? It's not like the paparazzis just started- this business has been going on for a long long time! SO if the celeb really hates paparazzis, and having their 'privacy disrupted', then they shouldn't have entered this business in the first place.

I'm right there with you, retrodudeX! I could not get into this movie at all because it was relentlessly biased and made with a blatantly self-pitying mindset. I don't exactly have much respect for the paparazzi, but I have even LESS respect for celebs who bitch about them and expect sympathy.

First of all, being a celebrity is the sweetest lifestyle I can think of. Weather you are an actor, rock star, pro athlete, or any kind of celebrity, the fact is you are living your dream, getting paid rediculously, and have many fans all-to-willing to kiss your ass and tell you it tastes like warm apple pie. Not to mention that 99% of Americans at some point in their lives have fantasized about living your life. When you consider all that, I think getting hassled by some snoops with camaras is a fairly small setback that comes with the territory, and quite frankly you need to put up or shut up.

Secondly, I think Rex made a great point when he said "Everybody wants to eat steak, but nobody wants to date the butcher." We call paparazzi mean spirited, yet we consume their product in insane quantities. As with any industry, there wouldn't be much of a supply without the demand, and thus celebs wouldn't have to deal with paparazzi if we as a culture weren't so damn celebrity-obsessed in the first place.

I realize I'm 6 yrs late to the party, but...

I think it's unreasonable to think all actors got into the biz for attention, especially that type of attention. There's a difference between red carpet events, premiers, etc. vs invasion of ones private life with intimate details.

Just my $.02
