Was I the only one who was into it?

I remember when it came out thinking it was sorta bold because it was celebrities making a statement about something that drove them crazy. Then a couple years later I finally got around to seeing the movie and discovered it actually had a plot. Somehow I almost got the impression it would be a real film with sort of a documentary vibe. I guess due to the title making you think of the subject, and the fact there were so many really popular documentaries released around that time. Not necessarily a Blair Witch or a Cloverfield-type thing, but something that felt like you were part of the experience. So anyway, when the film was focused on this one guy I actually sorta began to appreciate it as an actual movie. I have a habit of doing that. I'll find out something isn't really anywhere near what I was expecting but then when I get used to what it actually is, I end up pretty intrigued by that just as much or more than what my original idea was. Does anyone else ever experience that?

Oh, and more to the topic, how do you feel about the film? If you like it, that is. I'm pretty sure the general consensus is that it sucks. Most films that aren't classics seem to be seen that way.

I thought it was pretty good, but revenge flicks are among my favorites. There were quite a few plot holes, but I’m pretty good with suspension of disbelief. Plus, I loved the cameos with Mel, Vince, and Chris Rock.

Yea, those were cool. Mel's stack of folders with post-it-notes on them. LOL, too funny.

Can't believe I didn't see this response for so long.

What are some other revenge films you like? I'm trying to determine if maybe that's primarily what I'm into as well. The awards season melodrama crap is really wearing thin, it does nothing for me and seems to just follow a formula.
