PC version was quite simply the greatest game of all time

Awesome, an absolute classic that deserves to be remembered in the same light as some of the greatest movies ever made. The characters have so much depth, and the story is fantastic.

i could not agree with you more!

the game is a masterpiece plain and simple (not a word i would fling around often in the game world either). because it holds up very well against some of the top films out there which basically cannot be said for damn near all other games when it comes to characters/story and even it's gameplay is top spec as the cars are fun to drive as they offer a little challenge etc and the actual weapons feel great when shooting them to. everything just came together very well in this game. the developers behind this have true talent and are basically on there own level.

plus one thing this game shines on besides the overall quality experience is that you actually FELT something in the end that you cannot get from any other game and have to move into quality movie territory to get ;)

i still like Mafia (on PC) to this day and it's almost been 8 years since it's release. i usually play Mafia at least 1 time per year. i cannot say that about any other single player 3D games especially of stuff that's around that age or older.

p.s. and good news is... Mafia II (i.e. http://mafia2game.com/ ) is due out late Aug 2010 (official release date confirmed) and still had the core guys from the first game along with Daniel Vavra who did the story to the first is back for the 2nd game ;)

and by the way... even though i like the GTA (Grand Theft Auto) series. those games can't hold a candle to Mafia in the long run.

The graphics on the xbox version were terrible :( I wish I had PC version. But hopefully I will get Mafia II. By the way is Tommy in Mafia II?
