Whos head was swinging in the leader hide on the rope?
Just before Cate Blanchet finds Dot in the forest, whos head is in that leather hide swinging from the rope? Is that the brake dude?

Yes, from what I have read. They were pretty rough with the Mexicans too - tying a piece of wet rawhide around your head so that when it shrank, your eyes popped out from the pressure. One U.S. Mexican war soldier wrote that they found a Mexican kid hung upside down over a bed of coals which overheated his brain until it exploded.

They were pretty considerate though, before they burnt someone alive at the stake, they coated his/her hair with mud so the scalp would be preserved.

He didn't go with 2 ranchers, he went with Emiliano and the 2 girls. One got kidnapped, one hid, one got shot down with arrows whilst naked (christ knows how) and one got cooked alive. And it was fairly obvious it was Braker in that skin, he has one of the most memorable faces/chins in Hollywood. I think it was the same guy who played the president in Independence day, Bill somebody.
