What drug are they doing?

Im curious to know. I remember in the beginning of the movie...Masons friend mentions speed and I know speed can be smoked on foil, and speed is popular in small towns like that...but when Mason, Danny, and Masons friend are all hanging out....Masons friend takes out, what looks like, tar (heroin) and sticks it on the foil...and theyre acting like theyre high on Heroin..NOT speed.

Just curious..a drug addict wants to know..hahah.

I'm not sure but my impression was they were doing crack. No definitive answer here though sorry.

I would like to know too. Usually crack is only smoked through pipes/bongs... but both meth and heroin can be smoked on foil. They sure acted like it was heroin... yet I usually don't see meth-heads (like the brother/drug provider) doing BOTH?!
