the movie is remarkable

The movie is a remarkable true story about a young girl named Liz who had the strive to achieve! Liz came from nothing, a family who was poverty striken, parents who were drug addits, and a mother who was dying from aids. Despite the negative features listed in Liz's life, she had motivation and determination to strive for more. Liz's family eventually deteriorates, her mother dies and her and her sister are taken away placed in foster care by the police. Liz takes control of herself and her life and starts going to school, receiving a scholarship to Harvard University. Liz demonstrates to viewers that one can come from the worst conditions and still strive to achieve for more

I have to say this...after watching this movie I felt lazy. I feel that all those people that actually have a family a place to live and parents that our healthy and stuff they can do anything just like this girl did. I seriously felt like I was crap bc here's this girl sleeping anywhere and graduated from high school in 2 years and she got to Harvard! Harvard! Not any other school but one of the best in the country! I just feel lazy...

Before watching this movie, I had my doubts, & thought I'd never see my
college diploma. Liz Murray's courage in the face of hard times helped not only to motivate me in my studies, but also to appreciate my family more.

After watching this movie I realize that I do not have the God given right to complain about my childhood. I had a roof over my head and food to eat. To worry about materialistic stuff seems like a luxury.
