I thought Thora Birch wasn't skinny enough to be portraying a homeless person.
If you're living on a subway, on the coins of good willed people, wouldn't you be really thin?
And she looked rather clean, considering.

Just curious.

Actually a lot of people with little money are not skinny because how cheap unhealthy food is. McDonald's is cheaper than buying fresh fruit.

I agree. And what was with that LONG hair? If you're homeless, why would you have super long hair?? Where would you wash it? Its hard enough to wash short hair in a public bathroom sink, never mind what she was sporting.
And her clothes seemed rather clean, her teeth not rotten. I know her job was dishwasher, so you wouldn't need a fancy outfit, but you have to be clean... and stay clean.. to be hired in any job.

This film left a lot of questions. Like, what was so bad about the group homes?
I know some people who've stayed in one, and they say some are OK, some are better than others..but compared to being homeless..?!

Didnt she say she had some kind of job when her dad inrolled her in school. Also when she and chris was on the streets i menmbr them sneaking into friends homes couldnt she cleaned up there and eat
