Accept it - WW2 really happened!

Many of you are complaining that the film stole ideas and plots from other films. Well I have news for you, The Spanish civil war and WW2 really happened, they were not something invented by Ernest Hemingway. Many young women with excellent French language skills and who had lived in France were recruited as agents and worked with the resistance. Sadly, some were caught and tortured - Violette Szabo, Odette Sansom to name just two. Some were shot, others were guillotined. Suspected collaborators, women who had dated German soldiers, were publicly humiliated and shorn of their hair after the French regained control, and were jailed. Coco Chanel and the actress Danielle Darioux liveed with German officers throughout the war. There are many newsreels to prove it. There is a marvelous film called Le Chagrin et la Pite about a small French town during the German occupation which says it all.

If you are going to make am film about that time, you are bound to find comparisons. It happened. It was real and in many ways far more horrible than ever shown on fictional film. Get over it.
