Hated it!

Ok can i just say that I absolutley hated this movie, and that never happens! I never say a movie was absolutley boring and had horrible acting and lines..but this movie was just that. Now I love Christina Applegate, but oh..this movie was just horrible. The acting must I say, was not good. The lines where just horrible and where nothing special. The story line though, was pretty good, and the end was okay.Like I said I NEVEr say a movie was stupid..belive me Ive seen movies no one liked, but I myself, liked it. Keep in mind though, that this is all just my opnion, and I totaly respect any of your other opnions.

I liked it a lot, but I thought I'd post quickly because of this "I totaly respect any of your other opnions." <-- Nice one, it's a refreshing change to see this. Now we could discuss the movie, rather than "ohh you didn't get it, I'm so smart, your spelling is wrong etc." And the topic isn't "This movie is *beep* and for retards" :)

These boards need more of you. People with opinions who don't feel the need to ram them down other people's throats.

On the movie, it was very easy watching and I found it strangely endeering. The hippy totally stole the show, but Knoxville is a very affable kind of guy too. Although really Bernice was the star! Not a classic, but grand on a rainy evening in Dublin with a smoke or two.

Dude, This movie *beep* rocked. I think you have a few issues with your brain that you need to work out, Go get a sense of humor. Once you have a sense of humor watch this movie again.

I actually liked the movies as well, though never heard of Parsons or his music. This film was charming in so many ways. The actors did a wonderful job mixing light humour and hilarious oneliners with a bit of sadness. Of course the storyline is rather simple and sometimes on the sweet side for my liking, but I somehow felt attached to the movie and enjoyed it throughout.

Had a great plot to it. Should have been funnier!

It would've had a greater plot had it stuck closer to the truth... They say fact is stranger than fiction, and this time at least I have to agree.

And just to say, I'm not bashing the film. I enjoyed it. I'm just a little confused as to why they did some of the things they did, plot-wise, when (and I say this on the perhaps questionable authority of having read a Gram Parsons biography, Hickory Wind by Ben Fong-Torres) the actual story is really just as quirky and interesting.
