This film is not in a “Tarantino box”

Posters here have asked why GTP is in a “Tarantino box”.

Well, it’s not a “Tarantino box”. If you care to read the box’s title, it is “A *Touch* (my emphasis) of Tarantino”. Makes a big difference also to us who are not lucky enough to be native English speakers.

The box contains some Tarantino films and some films with a “touch of Tarantino”.

“Grand Theft Parsons” is great filmmaking from all involved. Proves that really skilled people can make great art with almost no recourses at all. While unskilled people with unlimited resources repeatedly produce pure garbage.

GTP definitely has a touch of Tarantino, as well as a touch of several other great filmmakers. Thinking of it … it’s actually more than a “touch of” – it *IS* a great film on it’s own.

To me, the script, editing and directing (in this order) are the most impressive components. Soundtrack fits in extremely well too.
