2003?????

This was made in 2003???
I looked at the production values -and the hairstyles- and guessed it was from between 1987 and 1992.
The actors are real troopers, saying the corniest dialogue without a hint of a smirk, but the rest really IS a disaster. This is like a step a decade or two back in time, TV movie wise.
An alternative title could be 'CLICHE -You could write it for 'em'
We did have a good laugh, though.

I prefer Imaginality to reality.

You are watching this on Channel 5, aren't you? :)

Have to agree with you - Killer Flood is a terrible movie. I feel bad for the actors, having to work on movies like these just to pay the rent.

Yes, and my Mum and I were predicting pretty much every cliched line and next shot...

Corrupt owner: "The Dam is FINE!"
(Mum & I: "cut to shot of water pouring out of wall")
Film cuts to shot of water jetting out of the wall.

Engineer who runs Dam: "I took some money to keep quiet too"
(Mum & I: "that's him dead then")
Minutes later bolts fly around a room, hero and son duck, engineer doesn't...

Dog and woman in danger...
(Me to Mum: "If you ever find yourself in a disaster movie then strap yourself to a pet, you'll be fine...)

I prefer Imaginality to reality.

These movies are so predictable. I wonder if anyone actually enjoys them, instead of just making fun.

It seems that Channel Five has made the same mistake again by showing this film in 2013....

Someone at Channel 5 must really love this movie - it's on again. I've missed the first hour of this cheese-fest and I could switch over to Channel 5+1, but I can probably wait until it comes round again next summer... Or maybe 2016...

2014 and it's on again. The visuals are so below par, more 1982 than 2002. I guess it's super cheap for channel 5 to put this as ratings are usually low at the time of day it's shown (school runs).
