This movie is everything wrong with the PG 13 rating and killed action movies

I hate this movie it became everything that die hard wasn't no cursing allowed at all, toned down valence a boring bad guy, this was the movie that got action moves see their downfall, every started to turn to just CGI boring explosion's. we loved the first few movies because we seen John was in Trouble it was believable. he was cursing a lot which made it funny.

This movie killed Action movies 14 years ago. now the only action movies we have are Marvel movies. or about one of the 200 Fast and furious that are around now.

shitty ass superhero movies are NOT action movies. that being said u are right action movies went to shit recently all the best ones were from the 1970s-early 2000s. Only decent action movies i enjoy these days is John Wick those are fun and the only movies i actually pay to see in theaters in the past 4 years pretty much. they are even ruined the new james bond film with sjw pc bullshit i am not excited to see that and will never pay for it no way

Whether you like or hate superhero movies they definitelly are action movies. If you enjoyed John Wick may i suggest Wrath of Man (2021)?

John Wick SUCKS....John Wick is a HEAD SHOT shit show...

Best action movie in years was Mad Max Fury Road and All the Mission Impossibles.

Mad Max was sick!! i never watched any of those mission impossible movies because i cant take that scientologist tom cruise seriously. fuck tom he freaks me the fuck out and makes me feel uneasy...

It wasn't very good, and one of those sequels made for the sake of making a sequel. The toned-down violence and language were just part of the problem.

I would agree with you if not for the fact that the Unrated version of this (IMHO) saved it... like, throw-me-a-fucking-lifeboat saved it. It's not edited expertly, but they add enough blood-spray, F-Bombs and the obvious cutting-room-floor scenes back in that makes this my second favorite to the original. I think I loved the premise of the tech-world being on full display in a post 9/11 world and the concept of the Fire Sale they were planning was just downright scary.

I actually think 4 was a decent movie. Not seen the unrated but didn't they cut out that line, I was out of bullets, which just seemed so Mcclane to me.

I've heard 5 is bad, and it looks it, but not seen yet, but never got the hate for 4. It's not perfect, but I think it works

5 is the only one I really don't "like" at all. What's really odd, is that if you look at them ranked on Rotten Tomatoes, it's the exact order I prefer them in and how I would rank them. And, I usually NEVER agree with Rotten Tomatoes.

I'm sure I also read that die hard 5 is the only script specifically made with die hard in mind while all the others where adapted from other material. So the one time something is made specifically for the film and it flops

Err, no it didn’t. Some after-the-fact CGI blood and dubbed in cursing doesn’t fix the main problems with this stinker - a childish, dumb-as-fuck script, and terrible direction from the talentless hack Len Wiseman. For a more detailed breakdown check out this explanation as to why DH4 sucks:

Something I find funny is that this gets a higher rating on imdb than the 2nd one. Die Hard With a Vengeance also gets a higher rating than the 2nd. So it seems the majority of people on there prefer the later sequels to the 2nd one. I do like Die Hard 2 more than this one.

I think the problem with the 2nd one it has the ghostbusters and Home alone problem.. running the same jokes and formula, the 3rd movie got away from that with something different and away from xmas time

I disagree about Ghostbusters 2. The River of Slime, Vigo, and Joanosh make it different enough from the first. Die Hard 2 though is similar though I love the snowy setting.

they made this movie for younger movie goers and that is the first mistake you can make when making a die hard movie.

My perception is it was made for both younger and older viewers with Mcclane teasing Justin Long for collecting toys and not getting girls and arguing about listening to Creedence on the radio. This is the 2nd best die hard by far.
