Worst. Ending. Ever.
Overall, although slow, it was pretty creepy. However, the ending ruins the entire movie, and officially made it a "waste of time" movie. Ugh!

shareGoing by your topic title, you've not seen The Devil Inside. Opinions are opinions, but you've not seen very many films. That's obvious.

The Devil Inside was an amazing movie, which I did see. Perfect ending. This movie, however, ended with her lying in bed, looking dead. Was she? Did she lose her job? Was she cured? No answers in the movie. Why even develop the jealous relationship with her girlfriend, without delving into it? Were we going to forget about that? And what becones of her relationship with her boyfriend? I stand by my opinion. Horrible ending ruined the movie.
Obviously, movies are not your forté, if you even bring up The Devil Inside for this conversation. Stick to Pixar movies. Good day :-)
The movie had flaws I give you that. But as for her girlfriend I found that was resolved. What more should have been seen there? The friendship ended. She didn't help out Esther at the the pool because of jealousy that put a strain in the friendship. When she tried to make it up Esther blew her off with leaving money at the reception. At that point the friendship was over. At a moment Esther wanted seek out help from Sandrine, but she passed her in the hall. End of story. I don't know what else should have been there, a big fight wouldn't have added to a story or take away.
Well, for me the movie is a bit more complex than to be able to give a definite answer. I think that kind of ending would have ruined it for me, and sincerely the ending made me like the movie. Her eyes were like staring at you, but completely detached. The film itself showed her progressive detachment from her life, friend, relationship, work until she was alone with herself to be able to do what she wants. I liked how at first she was like hiding behind a couch looking at you from there, almost like hiding her bare self, and at the end you see a completely detached woman from the surrounding life but one who seems at peace with herself.
She will probably loose the job, won't be cured and eventually die, but this wasn't the important issue in the film, it wanted to show an inner journey not a conflict resolution story.
